Work Doesn’t Have to Be Beige 〰️
From Amanda’s Desk
✨ “You have to always be extraordinary, but somehow you're always doing it wrong…” - Gloria in Barbie (2023)
I love this movie! And this line hit so many of us - it wasn’t just about womanhood. It was about work.
In too many roles, people walk in with energy, talent, drive…
…and get slowly dulled by expectations they were never trained to meet.
Or worse - expectations no one was brave enough to say out loud. Or too lazy. I see that more often, actually.
That’s why I do what I do.
When we talk about onboarding people and when we get it right….
People actually start to love their work.
They feel proud. Capable. Seen.
And that energy?
✨ It spreads.
✨To the team.
✨The clients.
✨And even their friends and families.
Most people think onboarding is about processes and policies. I think it’s about unlocking potential. And you know what I hate? Wasted Potential.
This month, we’re going deep on the real driver behind all of it:
📌 Accountability that sticks - without micromanaging, rescuing, or resigning in frustration.

I have the BEST clients. Seriously.
One of them is currently steering her small team through massive change. Change that’s not just “good for business” but good for people:
✅ More earning potential
✅ Better conditions
✅A real chance to level up
Thing is…not everyone’s excited. Especially the long-timers.
You know the ones - loyal, capable, but deeply rooted in how things have always been.
So she found herself in that really human space:
Wanting to do right by the company
Also wanting her people to feel safe, respected, and seen
So we spoke about not choosing sides.
And shifting our language.
We worked on moving from:
❌ “This is the new way”
to
✅ “Here’s why we’re growing - and how I want you to grow with us”
That small tweak changed everything.
That started to see what was possible.
And trust her and the process.
People don’t resist change as such.
They resist feeling left behind.
Watching her lead with both vision and heart?
That’s the work. That’s why I do what I do.
Have an epic week out there and remember to keep dreaming and doing!
